J. I. Packer - One of the 20th century great Christian authors/theologians. English/Canadian. Died aged 93. His most famous work is likely 'Knowing God'. A kindhearted and generous man respected by many on all sides. His writings have influenced many thousands. He had a gentle but clear writing style and had a way distilling truths to bring clarity and also challenge you in making those truths manifest:

If this is not the thought that prompts and controls his worship and prayers and his whole outlook on life, it means that he does not understand Christianity very well at all."
