Conchata Ferrel had died aged 77 with cardiac arrest complications. Best known for her role as Berta the housekeeper on 2 and a Half Men amongst other roles (The Ranch on Netflix comes to mind off the top of my head)

Just cropped up on BBC News ...
Sir Sean Connery, age 90, and perhaps best known as James Bond, but also star of so many other hit films, has died at home, according to his family. No information as to cause but presumably, just age.
A lesson learned from PeterB about dignity in adversity, so Peter, In Memorium, "Onwards and Upwards".
Truly a superb actor. He gave Bond relevance (given the first outing of Casino Royale with Peter Sellers & David Niven was a spoof) he brought the character to life for everyone. Loved him in The Rock & The Untouchables also but he has been in way to many movies to list here and everyone has their favourites.
Just to clarify that, Casino Royale was the first Bond book, but about the 5th or 6th film. The Sellers/Niven spoof was 1967, but the first 'proper' Bond film (with Connery, of course) was Dr. No in 1962.
Confusing things even more, the first film (Dr. No) was the 6th book (as by publication), preceded by Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds are Forever and From Russia With Love, all Connery Films.
Casino Royale was written in '53, and Dr. No five years later in '58.
Personally, I liked the Sellers/Niven spoof too, but not in the classic Bond way, but as the spoof it was.

This one strikes a bit harder for me. My favourite actor when I was younger. Such an icon. Clearly the world continue to spin and things are moving on and changing - a bit more of 'my world' has disappeared.
No trees were harmed in the creation of this message. However, many electrons were displaced and terribly inconvenienced.
RIP Sean.
Rest assured that.
