Evocative sound of an early evening flypast of a Spitfire or Hurricane, or the take off of a Lancer or Vulcan or somthing equally noisy.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

    - The 10-15 minutes inbetween waking up and getting out of bed, comfiest thing ever.
    - Early-mid evening so it's not completely dark yet, curtains are wide open, it's raining bucket loads outside but you are inside in a big comfy chair with the heating on full blast. Mmm.

Add the missus into either of theses = +1

Yes, yes, yes! Alternatively, a lighter rain (Neither hammering nor drizzling, and no lightning) and cool/cold air coming in through the open windows is also a great combination when you're upset/heart-broken.

Something else I love about rain is the smell. Specifically, the smell of damp soil after a short rain. Pity the area I live in is currently experiencing drought.

Don't know where you people come from, with your cut grass. Maybe I'm just biased, as that usually invokes my hayfever.

That first cup of tea after you've been on holiday.

Electrical storms at night. Open all the curtains, turn the lights off and just watch the sky light up.

Fishing during electrical storms. The most amazing experience seeing the countryside lit up, the reflections on the water and the smells.
