Contrary to popular belief, it DOES matter whether you get a 2:1 rather than a 2:2. Alot of the top jobs ask for a 2:1 minimum. Maybe I'm just aiming too high for jobs Last time I listen to my cousin who graduated from LSE saying 'hey man, it doesn't matter about what you get, its all about the experience (well thats true)', but then again he graduated with a 2:1 or first and has a 6 figure salary now. Bastid, wish I hadn't taken his advice now!

Doing a MSc now - perfect thing to do if you don't wanna start work yet after you finish your degree Also specialises in modules that I am more interested in, before I did Electrical engineering, now its Finance and management.

Swafe I found that it got easier after the first year I got to drop stuff i didnt like etc
and i found the final year easier than the second.
So i wouldnt worry about it if i were you, just dont be a slacker and do what
you have to do.

a 2.2 doesnt really matter in the scheme of things when you dont get a 2.1 hahaha.

i'm afraid to say, chemistry just gets harder :/, especially in 3rd year, it's a right pain, especially if u're no good at physics :/ (like moi)

I actually found my final year of my Electronic Engineering degree the easiest aswell (apart from year 1), you get to do a project in most of the sciency subjects which is alot of weighting on your 3rd year mark. My mate was on around 40% after his 2nd year (doing chemistry), but clawed back to get 50% to get his 2:2. Miracles can happen if you work your arse off!

Swafe, just work hard, and you'll see all the benefits. I messed around too much during my 2nd year, and had a mountain to climb. Was in the library around 8 hours a day revising for exams! Was really disappointed with a 2:2, but since my final year project was rubbish, that let me down, especially as I got 60's and 70's for a couple of modules in the exams.

But if you're not getting into it all, its best to quit now and find a course that you really enjoy, instead of slugging it out and not meeting your full potential!

Oh yeah, and a mate that I was quite stressed with after we finished our degree, got 49% average at the end, and scraped his 2:2 due to a good(ish) project... I was really peeved as he cheated throughout all the exams using a graphics calculator storing equations. I worked honestly and had a safe 2:2

just finished off by Sign Language course with an exam last week - wont find out if I pass until August :/

just got my semester 2 results for my 2nd year of a computing science degree;

Graphical User Interfaces: Design and Implementation : 15/15
Lan Switching and WAN networks (CCNA sem 3/4) : 14/15
Software Development for mobile computing applications: 13/15
Further Programming concepts in C++: 12/15

Combining those results with my semester one results gives me 77.5% for the year Which is either a high 2:1 or a first, either way its fair to say i'm pretty pleased

A first is 70% > at my uni

I'm averaging the whole year at 67% currently

Got my final second semester grades:

54%, 60%, 77% and 79%

Averaged 69% over the whole year which was 1% off a first but i'm happy with a 2:1

Finally got my results for my first year.

I got a distinction. Kinda puts a weak silver lining to a pretty dark day.
