I just finished my first year of Computer Science at strathclyde uni, but I had to do resits. Last one tomorrow and then I'm FREE - to go to work.

The first year of a degree is significantly easier than the rest though, but my first year (back in the day) didn't count towards my degree, so wasn't bothered, just messed about alot

The first year of the one I was doing was pretty much GCSE level in most modules.

Second one didn't quite feel quite as hard as A-Levels.

I'm pretty sure there was no learning in the 3rd year and it was all based on the quantity of bull**** you could write a week. Must get round to doing that year at some point.

if so why did you take gcses over the bac?

International school, moved here after 10 years on english system, Bac is way harder and are more of the equivalent of A levels rather than gcse's

I got [A(1) for Chemistry, Physics, Maths, A(2) for Biology]@Higher and C@English Int2.
Not too crappy for a non-British who camed here 3 years ago.

I have a cousin living in London that got her A level results back, 4As in Chem, Bio, English Lit and one other. She's been accepted by Imperial for Medicine, so yay for her

As are easy to get in UK, gosh, I was getting straight Cs when I was in HK. Couldn't cope with those kind of "loads" so I'm here
