Do I take it that this post has now been retracted, as I can't see the original?

    Guys

The SCAN2HEXUS offer is now a minimum order value of £50, this is not set in stone, a couple of quid either way is ok, the minimum post ie.25 is still in place also, any questions then please feel free to ask.

    Regards

As an aside to the free shipping, it would be nice if Scan did offer an alternate delivery option. Royal Mail's services are particularly suitable for those in the rural Highlands or Northern Ireland, since CityLink and others charge more for delivery to certain locations which are still part of the UK, while Royal Mail has a standardised price policy, which in certain cases works out much cheaper than the alternatives.
Similarly, some light-weight goods would cost less to send by Special Delivery or Recorded delivery, than by CityLink.
My experience on this was sending 6kg packages (poker chip sets) to people.

Agreed, cost of Royal Mail is often cheaper and no less reliable IMHO and would be inclusive to those outside 'mainland' UK. Never ordered from Scan via mail due to restrictive postal costs and as long as in place will never do and look elsewhere such as Komplett (£6 via royal mail).

I dont shop at scan mainly becuase I find the website annoying to navigate...

With no min order people WILL abuse the free postage. Doesnt matter how many times you say dont, people will.
Whether or not its a good or bad thing - as they might in future place much bigger orders with you, which might otherwise have went elsewhere...
I would say a min order between £15-30 for free postage,

No idea what amount is most commonly spent by returning customers, probably worth you checking

I think you could easly subsidise the free postage by adding it into the price of everything. Would probably take a bit of effort and tweaking to do though...

Giving new customers free postage for their first order might get more customers for you aswell....

I would prefer RMSD over citylink aswell. Afaik they cost about the same... Iv enot had very good experince with citylink...

And the fact that if you miss the delivery (like me who works 9-5 mon-fri) you can get it diverted to a postoffice for collection, which is so useful.

People cant abuse it as we monitor every invoice, any people trying to will be refused or ask to pay carriage on there invoice before it leaves ourselfs.

The point is that you dont pay a carriage cost, ie why pay £6 Royal mail when the SCAN2HEXUS offer excludes the carriage cost.

do Scan participate in the vat refund scheme for people "moving" back out ofthe country? I "need" to buy a load of stuff for my Dad to take back with him - no carriage and vat back would make me even happier!

So, we call the order support line (could someone post the number again please) and we tell the operator our Hexus username and our free delivery will be setup with our online account, or do we order through the phone?
