I contacted Ebuyer and they said that the manufacturer had increased the price but they were not going to pass on the increase to the customer. In fact, they offered free delivery instead!! This offer still stands.
Although I have ordered from Ebuyer, I would have preferred to order from Scan (as long as only a few quid more) as they offer free next day delivery compared to Ebuyers one week delivery.

Fortunately thank God I haven't had to use Ebuyer's RMA or Tech Support but I know some people have problems.

I would order from Scan too. Much better service from them. Thing is, like most people i look for a good deal. I have bought lots from Ebuyer and never had a problem with an RMA or tech support. F417 looks like the one for me now. Just got to wait for pay day now!!

Resurrecting the thread....but heres one for ya.

I want to buy a single Akasa 45cm Silver SATA Cable to get a new drive up and running, cost at Scan = £1.63, now thats roughly half the price of everywhere else ive been able to find it in stock (second cheapest place was £2.93, everywhere else £5-9).....so i think great and commence ordering.....get to checkout and carriage is.....£7.......what? Couldnt cost more than £1-2 to send this thing in the post (it weighs nothing), hell it'd arrived ok with a 1st class stamp stuck to it. Obviously i dont want to abuse the Scan2Hexus loyalty scheme for such a low amount........so i order it elsewhere. Not that you probably care for such a small amount, but there you go.

Its a fair point, and it's appreciated that you didn't abuse the carriage

    Perhaps next time

Shipping to non-mainland UK is appalling though - last time I checked it was £25!

Surely that's not Scan's fault though and more City Link?

Scan don't have to use City Link though surely, and should they not provide other options for off-shore destinations to make their products more attractive to outlying UK locations? It is true that most companies don't provide attractive postage solutions but some do, e.g. Komplett, Overclockers UK and msquared.

The delivery should be same price to everywhere in UK, i don't think there is a price difference, apart from the smaller companies who aren't based here! Think it's a rip off with alot of companies smacking a 15 pound surchage on top of what we buy
