Surely people wouldn't think their hobbies are so stupid if it's a hobby to them?

As for stupid hobbies. I play Video games.
Posting in forums.
Smoking tobacco. Yeah, it's probably bad for me, but I enjoy it alot. So many different cuts, flavours, mixtures, aromas. Phwoar!
I collect LaserDiscs... The old 12" movie discs that were available before DVD's were around. I have over 2500 of them, from the earlier releases in the 1980's up until the last Dolby Digital / DTS / Widescreen pressings from 1999-2000, and my floor is creaking under the strain. They are not quite up to DVD quality in terms of picture (but it's close) - They are an analogue format so no blockies / artifacts / 'colour banding', and in my opinion the sound is truly superb. No compression y'see, higher bitrates... hello? heeeelllloooooooooo... Oh you've all fallen asleep...

Do I achieve geek status?

firstaiding

they're all stupid to someone. Go ask a chav and he'll pick at least one of those, and it'll probably be a different one each time...

Table football, currently in a seven match tournament with someone.
That and smoking the nargile, which I probably do too much.
LOL I remember back in College (97 ish) going back to a mates house and watching some laser disks - that was so cool back then, I think it still counts as cool. Do they cost a lot now? or is it a cheap way of getting films?Originally Posted by Trippledence

How much can you store on a Laz0r disk iam guessing about the same as a CD, its wierd i ve only ever hear about lazer disks a few times and dont know much about them apart from the obvious !!
