I feel quite chuffed to say I have all of those films aside from Neighbours.

You know what they said about the director of Un Chien Andalou; at the film's first screening, he hid at the back of the cinema because he thought the audience would go after him having not understood his work. Now that's groundbreaking.

I agree with you about Pi though; Darren Aronofsky is a good director, but he's typecasted himself wayyyy too much. He uses the same sort of sequences in Pi and Requiem for a Dream, and they, as well as his earlier University films, seem to be revolved around the general theme of drug taking, albeit with a side-theme of mathematics etc.

These kind of lists are always subjective, and as such pretty redundant.
eg The Matrix NOT on the list? Matrix trilogy should be on there no question.
Princess Mononoke on the list?? Ive seen this anime, and while I thought it was ok, I dont see how it should be on the list, especially over such anime as: Akira eg.

On the world cinema front... at the very least: Jean De Florette
Certainly tho a fair no of decent films on the list..

Glad to see Secrets and Lies was in there, but at the risk of turning this thread into a ' why the heck didn't they have...'

Why the heck didn't they have Kung Fu Hustle or V for Vendetta - cetrainly in place of that *awful* Sexy Beast garbage.

I've seen 15 and considering the absence of Bladerunner (which defined a whole goddamn genre FFS) I think it's a pretty poor list.

What about The Thing (both versions!)? I'd second Blade Runner as well. and

    The Usual Suspects
Silent Running (an all-time favourate of mine).

And Platoon instead of Full Metal Jacket...?

erm how was terminator two mediocore?? t3 was rubbish t2 was one of the best films of iots kind ever made and still is. full metal jacket aint that special tbh.
