    quick questions about a cv

Does a CV need to be written has a 3rd person? a number of people i know dont believe so but last saturday i went to this cv clinic in a job fair and the staff there said it has to be written in 3rd person.

my last question is about the interest section in a cv. Do i need to compose my interest in a CV?

CV's (and advice about them), is all personal opinion. Personally I write mine in the first person, but then again I am un-employed

Interests are basically a way to prove you aren't a mindless drone and a possibly to strike up a conversation with the interviewer without mentioning the job. Which in turn makes you look cooler and if the interviewer shares one of your interests makes them remember you.

If you put reading, they will ask you what book you last read, if you put climbing then they will ask when you last went and so on. So make sure you have an answer for each one and stay away from anything like extreme ironing

As far as CV writing goes, The employer is mainly interested in qualifications and Work Experience. Write in what ever format you prefer - Its about you! The interest section should just outline your interests - they just want to make sure your active and not sat on your backside all day! TBH you need to change your CV to highlight key points suitable for each position you apply to.

I've seen a graphical CV once - it was all pictures. The guy who owned it was someone I knew. He used it to get a job at Intel as an engineer, and he got the job too

A personal CV (one that you send out for job applications) is usually written in the first person.

A professional CV (one that your company sends out to clients for consultancy/contract work) is usually written in the third person.

Taz is correct on this one. A professional CV sends out to other companies about you, its written as if they are talking about you.

A personal one, where you apply for a job is written in the first person.

This is the norm as far as i have seen - and ive seen a lot of CV's.

Ones written by people in the 3rd person are normally written by some really weird people anyways
