Thanks for the review on the Daewoo 22".

That has really got me stumped now as I was going to get the Asus MW221U, which is an extra £50.

Now I am not sure if it is worth spending the extra £50 instead of getting this impressive looking Daewoo.

Is it worth spending this extra amount to get a HDCP compliant monitor?

Does anyone have the Asus MW221U ?

I'm thinking of the getting the Daewoo or the Dell 22" and am in the same boat as you.

Prices are dropping all the time so am undecided.

    No, IMO.

Unless you are sure you are going to go down the hi-def and DRM protected movies route. Note you also need a whole bunch of other components, connectors and software to by HDCP compliant to get it to work.

I would not recommend the Asus. Look here for the countless ghosting problems people have had. If you want a HDCP compliant monitor, maybe consider the Samsung 206BW (£200ish) or the 226BW (£250ish), which are going to be released very soon.

Got the HP L2045w myself recently which is much better and brighter than my current laptop TFT.

Got if for approx. £192 delivered from it247.com and just had confirmation of my £50 cashback.

another thumbs up for the L2045w
looks great and I certainly will be using the rotate feature.
Native resolution looks crisp, and colours are good enough for general photo editing - anything beyond basic I use a crt anyway.

bought mine from it247, but waiting for cash back.

People might be interested to know that Play.com has the Viewsonic VX2025wm for just £199.99 including delivery, which is a bloody excellent price.
