    Re: New Monitor Advice

Hi Guys, I have spent all night searching for a suitable monitor for my PS3 and PC.

I have come across this one, and found this thread,

Would this work ok with my PS3 using a HDMI to DVI lead, How do you guys know its HDCP compliant?

I'm really not sure, heres another couple of options, I would like the 1080p res because of the ps3

    Re: New Monitor Advice

if you hang around on here, you might find someone that has a ps3 hooked up to it, or try bit-tech or some other hardware forums to see if any of their users have a ps3 hooked up to one

edit: i've just remembered something from a while ago, i remember reading something from somewhere, where someone said: "it scales terribly if the input isn't 16:10" or something along those lines.

The evidence is anecdotal - see this previous post earlier in this thread.

They also have logos that stay on and buttons that work

I reckon I'm going to buy one of these Misco badboys too. Want a big screen to watch movies on, games will have to wait for a new graphics card I think.

    Re: New Monitor Advice

    Hi guys,

    Got the screen today.

I'm not looking through rose tinted specs, believe me, but this baby is worth every penny.

The colours are a treat, they really do look sharp and vibrant.

Also, the response time works fine on games, and more importantly my ps3 works, so its 100% sure that it has HDCP!

Its quite large front to back, but apart from that I cant see why people complain about the build quality, its absolutely fine, and the buttons work fine.

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated, I would recommend this screen to anyone with a budget of around 200. (it ll probably pack up by the end of the week!)

    Cheers

I'm seriously thinking about that open box one lol. Just sent Misco an e-mail asking how warranty is affected by it being open box.
