    Re: New Monitor Advice

    and the saga continues

my replacement one is playing up now , the output just dissapears and the monitor just seems to crash.... none of the buttons work when it happens..... i've video'd it for evidence as well....

it has been doing it since i got it...

i.e. i turn it on, it hangs after 5 mins so i pull the power cord. plug it back in and everything is fine...

but it's just done it about 6 times in a row

looks like i'm going to have to RMA again

cos thats not going to be fun in the middle of a game!!!!!!!!

    Re: New Monitor Advice

i'm not quite sure what you mean...

the cable that came with mine has 1 dvi and 1 HDMI, the HDMI end has HDMI written on one side
the DVI side has a wierd arrow inside a curved edge square (symbolising a digital signal)...

it looks like this: where the HDMI is on the left, and DVI is on the right
(i included the picture because the DVI pinout is exactly the same)

and as for returning my monitor... i just CBA i really don't want to end up without a monitor for a month again.. so i'll just claim on the warranty in a year or so...

    Re: New Monitor Advice

Yea it must be becoming a bit of a headache.... I think your just unlucky because mine seems 100%.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I needed to know if the hdmi end has the letters HDMI on it (one of the two leads has just a blank hdmi end)

    Sorted, thanks a LOT

    Re: New Monitor Advice

Get a Yuraku 24" monitor. I got mine from misco and its great no daed pixels and IS an A-MVA panel. Is says v3 on the screen menu but v2 on the sticker on the back of the Panel. Great screen, no back light bleed to speak of. and the contrast is great. Just the usual washed out blacks which is compensated with the great contrast of whites.
