    Onboard Graphics Cards… poor show

It has come to my attention that onboard graphics don’t do justice when using them with a flat screen/TFT.. I remember about this time last year I purchased a shuttle with onboard graphics and the display on a monitor was fine, but on a TFT looked blurred no matter how much you played around with the setting.

Last month I purchased all the gear to built a new Shuttle system for my GF, I brought all good stuff apart from a shuttle with onboard Geforce4MX!.. I thought this would be fine as she would not be playing any games, but I had the same issue with slightly blurred display… and this was on a brand new 17” LG TFT! So after lots of playing around and tweaking I opted to install my old radeon 9200… as soon as I had installed the drivers the display became as shape as anything! Crystal clear!

So my point is… is there a known issue with onboard graphics and TFT’? Because I think there is one!

Nope, i thought you had posted this before? The Geforce 4 MX 440 series of onboard graphics doesn't give a very good output resulting in the blurry image. It happens on CRT's as well as TFT's and i've heard people say how et la poo the MX440 series is.

yeah i did have a thread going, but i just put the radeon in and thought i would post this, i did not notice any blur with a normal monitor though, that's what made me think it's a TFT issue

Currently on my missus' nForce2 Shuttle. I placed a GF4 MX440 to take the load off the ram, and TBH I don't find and difference between using the normal GF4 MX440 or the onboard GFX at all on her 17" TFT.
