for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
It does not change the fact people on many forums including Hexus for example were complaining about this specifically and I suspect the GTX680 in a 4GB version would do better. TBH, I personally don't care as I don't have a 2560X1600 monitor,so a card like a GTX680 2GB would do me fine but alas it way above the sort of cash I want to spend!!
I just get the feeling this will become the GTX760 or GTX770 at some point, once the GK110 is released at the end of the year.

Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.

Edit!!
It seems in Metro2033 and Crysis2 the cards are not that far apart in DX11 mode. Even power consumption seems to be between an HD7950 and HD7970.
Still, the GTX680 does seem to have the edge.

I uploaded them here as well^

Impressive turn-around from Fermi. Shame they left out P/Watt for 1600p though given some tests are at that.

It will be interesting to see how the HD7800 series compares. TPU puts the HD7870 as having 28% higher performance/watt than an HD7970,so I suspect the GTX680 will have an edge over the HD7800 series in this regard.
So,now where is the GTX670 and GTX660??
Edit!!
One thing though - remember that GTX680 has relatively poor compute performance when compared to the GTX580. So in this regard it is not a fair fight.
Only the GK110 can completely answer the question of how much more efficient Kepler is overall.
Yup this is more like the 560 type cards - low compute, but good in games and relatively fixed functions.
I wonder how this will work in regards to Tesla cards? I'm thinking at least DP might be heavily limited in the consumer card, either that or this is only really intended as a gaming platform? But I seem to remember hearing about how good a compute platform Kepler is meant to be?
The HD7870 might be stronger in compute!! WTF?? Its a good thing for Nvidia that CUDA is so commonly used.
I would put Mediaexpresso and Luxmark comparisons but it seems Toms has changed the settings all of a sudden?? Why??

You think they'd just lift the NDA now.
