    6800 or 6800 GT?

I'm going to be getting a new graphics card soon, but am not sure if I should get the normal Gforce 6800 or the 6800 GT. Will the 6800 GT make a huge difference compared with the 6800 or since it's an extra £40, should I stick with the normal 6800?

    Thanks

    So you're saying it's a big difference?

Is it like the radeon 9800 pro is to the 9800, or like the radeon 9800 to the 9600?

What are the price of the cards you're looking at? The chepest normal 6800 that I've seen is £170, the cheapest 680gt is ~£280 IIRC.

If you have the money, and you can justify spending near on £300 on a gfx card, go for the GT

Hmmm actually good point - I don't think I realised how much they actually costed. It'll be the 6800 for me then .

Although I did see a GT for £230 yesterday.

Are you sure? It must have been second hand surely, or the knee-capped 128mb version.

    i think you're right - that 128Mb one:

Is that one not worth it? Should I be aiming for 256 MB?

Now thats harsh, I don't think it sucks, it's just not as good as a REAL 6800gt

OK, so if I was to get a normal 6800, will this one do:?

    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=62623

Or is that kind of the same, just without the GT?

If you would read the maximum PC mag review you'd agree this card sucks! Its like a 6800 in a wheel chair!

If you don't mind doing away with the games, this one looks like a real bobby dazzler, and cheap as chips at only 170 notes!

    Cheap as chips!

I don't plan to OC it - I don't know how to anyway. What is a BFG version?

    ???? Big Friendly Giant ????

Also, what's the difference between the "cheap as chips" one and the one I found (apart from the games)?
