"(except for a very minor backlight bleed in the top right corner)"

Thats the same as mine! It must be a Dell trade mark!

I myself, wouldn't trust ebay for a LCD. I like the (if slightly misguided) thought that dell will supply me with good service. 70 quid extra for a guaranteed to work dell monitor is worth it imo.

I called Dell and quoted the price of £566. They offered it for £570 inc VAt and Del.

Deal done. Monitor on the way.

damn u guys have money to burn! I'm sticking with my 17" LG for now. But wouldn't two 19" @ 15ms TFT's be better value for money than DELL's beast?

Most certainly. The girth is impressive it's physically wider than my crt so it's a step up for watching movies, and the resolution is great for windows work.

I've only been living with it since friday, but i'm very happy so far.

Just ordered one of these in the USA - 620 dollars including tax and free delivery... read and weep back in the UK, that's 322 quid in real money! Since I'm planning to return to Europe in the summer, thought I'd better take the plunge now and take advantage of the great deals while the dollar is weak. Now to try and justify the thing to my wife!
