Right, heres some pics, but a quick update on the monitor first.

Spotted a major niggle with the viewing angle when i was setting up. Im one of these people who likes their monitor to be vertical at 90 degrees, no idea why, it just suits me like that. Unfortunatley, this isnt possible with the Samsung, unless it is high enough so that the lower part of the frame is at eye level...does that make sense?. If you are tall and like your monitor flat facing yoy, then this isnt the screen for you, however, tilting the screen back does fix this, but after having many different monitors that havent needed this, it does look a little bit odd, but i will get used to it.

Colours are fantastic, maybe a little bit too vivid for some people, but i like it like that. Brightness is perfect for me as well, i have sensitive eyes, and too bright gives me blinding headaches, and not bright enough gives me eyestrain which leads to.....yes, blinding headaches! No headaches as yet with the Samsung

Having said all that about the colours, when you first switch on the monitor after unpacking it for the first time, it looks dull and lifeless, its only when you go into the settings and enable the magicolor setting and tweak the contrast that it perks up.

Overall, i am well impressed, and im not easily impressed with anything computer related. It is far sharper, brighter, more colourful and more adjustable than the Viewsonic vx2025 that it replaces.

Backlight bleed: As i said in my last post, it doesnt bother me much, but there is a fair amount of it on this monitor, especially if you try and view it square on. Tilting the monitor back, also seems to get rid of most of the backlight problem, but it is still there, and if backlight bleed is a niggle of yours, then i think you will still notice it.

Heres the pics, sorry about the quality, im not too good at photography

some of these are a few meg, so ill just leave you a link to them.

Nice one... eye strain is real concern for me, i think if i stick with my crt i'll be needing glasses in about 6 months! I saw somewhere this is HDCP compliant is that definately the case? I think i get what you mean about the viewing angle.

Edit: On the backlighting side... would you say thats the only signifcant issue? My brother has a Viewsonic VA1912w which i think looks excellent(i'm a lcd nub!).. so if this is better I might not notice it.

Yep, definately HDCP compliant, its says it on the box.

The viewing angle and backlight bleed are the only things ive found so far, but for me, its not a problem, but for others, it might be.

I think its a fantastic screen for the money, and, unless something major happens with it, ill be keeping it for a long while

lol i finished messy about with the pic now. It really doesn't display the colours well that pic. The white is alot crisper etc.

Edit : its actually silver, goes well with rest of my kit. Haven't seen any black ones anywhere i'm afraid.

i was a bit gutted about the wires trailing, but the back of the stand has a lip and you can loop them up and over at the back
