    Post New sys probs

Built my new sys yesterday(see my system)

Now I have 2 probs with it:

1: Sometimes when I boot, it will see my 320gb sata drive but a lot of the time it won't(doesn't always show up in bios). I've checked the connections and all ok. Never had a prob with this drive in my old sys(now just used for a data drive). On the p5k, you have the option to plug it into a red sata port(master) or black(slave). The manual says plug it into a black one if it's for data. I've tried both and neither is better.
Could it have anything to do with the fact I have the sata ports configured as raid(which is what my 2 samsungs are setup for). Strange thing is, on the main bios screen, it doesn't normally list my drives(which I have seen it do once or twice when it does decide to detect my other sata drive).

2: Whenever I boot, it takes ages to get into vista. Main prob is it sits at the post screen for a few mins, seems to complete the tests ok but just sits there before it comes up with the windows scrolling screen thing(when it's loading windows).

It always gets into windows but just takes ages.

Please help as it is annoying to say the least.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

haven't tried that. seems to normally boot faster now though.

still got the same prob that it doesn't always appear in bios or windows though.

Have you tried running any hard drive diagnostics? You can get the samsung diags here http://www.samsung.com/global/busine...skManager.html
Another thing to try, set the bios to do a full memory test incase the problem is that the drives aren't coming ready fast enough and therefore the BIOS sometimes doesn't see them. Doing a full memory test should allow plenty of time for the drives to come ready before the BIOS probes for them.
