Not a bad trailer. Not the most exciting (I was never one for the GTA games) but the music is pretty funky.
Cant wait, Its giong to be awesome
edit: ooo, 1000 posts!!
yay
this looks nothing special compared to say GTA 3
Slightly newer hardware for it to run on, so better effects on things like the water by the looks of it.
GTA is a great game, so I'm sure it will be playable, but there is nothing amazing in this trailer.

Dont worry about Mr 'always' negative, keef i think it looks blinding as well, especially on my 50" hd sammy, really cant wait for this as well, looks like the delay was a very positive thing. Of course this will be playable, whats the point of rockstar putting all this effort in to make an unplayable game 'duh'
the sooner you are banned, the better gtech, I've had about enough of you ruining threads as I am interested in taking
I'm not being negative, I'm passing comment that this doesn't look like anything new in terms of the GTA series, it just looks like it's had slightly more polished graphics.
the comment about it being playable means "I'm sure the game will have a lot of playability, as did the others in the GTA series"
Now I'm off to make another request to have your pointless contributions to these forums removed on a perm basis.

The heli's look sweet, cant wait for the first time you actually get to fly one. I think this is going to be the most story heavy gta out of all of them all.
There's lots of new screens here Grand Theft Auto IV - News: Official Facts, Rumors, Ideas
movietyme has got it on the same release day as mgs4 , it's not the money it's the time for these, anyone know where i can buy some time?

I would agree. It doesn't look to be a massive departure from the previous games, more a case of evolution rather than revolution. Having said that, the trailers so far have not revealed too much, apart from a glimpse at some lovely looking visuals and some intriguing plot hints. Nevertheless, i cant wait for this. I really enjoyed GTA3 and Vice City, San Andreas didn't really appeal to me but this does. Those environments must have taken a long time to create.
If a certain member feels the need to derride others for merely expressing an opinion, something that they do consistently, maybe they should leave. We dont do that here. Dont let the door hit your ass on the way out.
Looking forward to this, looks good, although i cant help but feel it is just looking alot like the older games with tarted up graphics. Rockstar are very good at keeping secrets so fingers crossed we havnt seen the best bits yet.
NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GBA, DS, PSone, PS2, PSP, PS3 60gb, XBOX, XBOX 360, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, PC Engine, Neo Geo CD
the graphics do look good and im sure the city will be amazing to play in
but as withe the gta's its playability that make them amazing.
cant wait 4 this at all.
stop moaning about gtech, normally he annoys me but he hasnt done anything wrong in this thread
dont worry about me.
there's worse members.

I've never really enjoyed GTA games in the past. Think I'm just too much of a goody two-shoes though, the over the top violence and swearing just puts me off.
On the other hand though, I absolutely LOVED Crackdown so maybe I'm starting to get a taste for sandbox games. All GTAIV needs in order to lure me in is Agility Orbs.
In regards to Rockstar as developers, Table Tennis is just a stunner of a game! Best sports game I've played in a while, so so addictive.
Ikonia/gtech, whatever issues you have with each other, the rest of us don't care about, both of you are entitled to your opinions - please try not to get your respective knickers in a twist.
Ikonia/Steve - It is not for either of you to decide if other members deserve banning or not, that is entirely a Mod/Admin/Staff decision based on a valid *private* complaint - There is an RTM procedure, use it.
gtech - please try to consider your posts properly before posting, and please respect other's opinions, although in this case I can't really see anything particularly out of order.
...and now back to your regular programming.

that first screen shot was in the original trailer you posted.
judging on the trailer you posted and the screen shots you've linked it really does look like graphical updates to an already sound formula. As someone else mentioned in the thread "evolution rather than revolution". If the formula isn't broke, don't mess with it, which looking at this is what they have seemed to follow. The game should be just as playable as previous versions but I don't see the jump in game say from the original GTA to GT3 from the overhead map to the actual 3d environment perspective.
I'm sure it will be fun, but so far it doesn't look like it warrents the excitment people are raving about.
The only interesting concept so far, which I'm not sure I've fully understood due to conflicting articles is the actual loading of the full city, I can't work out if this is just the loading of the environment for smooth play, or actually to provide real time "off screen" events, I think its just loading for smooth play rather than an enchancment to game play.
It is Inevitable.....
the game looks like a polished version of the original gta3. i might wait till it comes out on the pc instead of getting it on the 360
