That's absolutely ludicrous. The desktop range is bad enough, but at least it was released in stages, so there's half an excuse for some of it.
The NVIDIA PR and marketing departments must be having a fit at the moment. They've got to promote 9800GTX as a viable upgrade, this lot, and the upcoming GTX260 and GTX280, the latter of which is looking like it'll requiring a mid-sized nuclear power factory next door, the former not all that much better. It's not a job I envy at the moment.
