as far as i've read, HP are emptying their warehouses. So there will be more to come. So, now argos have reduced the price, reservations are valid at the reduced price?

Should be - i'll find out at the end of the day..got to get from north manchester to chester before 5:30 though..reservation is until the 1st but I don't trust argos to hold it that long..so im leaving work early tonight to see. That is of course unless I start hearing lots of bad things..check HUKD as im sure people will be heading to argos for opening.

I had my 32gb Order @ Argos 3pm yesterday honoured and called to get a refund...very polite.
I also ordered the 16gb a few minutes early but that's out of stock (presumably everyone went for the cheaper)....
I sat on Argos all day yesterday lol now I missed it oh well

For anyone interested, I sent a few emails of to the retailers on Amazon Market place yesterday asking if they were planning on reducing their prices. Of the five I sent I only had one reply, which said:
"At this point our stocks are still selling well so we do not see having to lower the price any further..."
This was from a company selling them at £275 (I think, can't actually remember which was which) which is no longer on the list of sellers on Amazon this morning. So I can only assume that they did sell them all at that price
In short, I wouldn't expect any cheap deals out of Amazon marketplace any time soon.

These items are available in stock but have been withdrawn from sale at
present due to the recent announcement regarding HP Touchpads.
HP have no announced plans to us or other resellers to offer any discount.
We have had unprecedented interest in this item and unfortunately due to the
very poor way the announcement was made (by a member of the Dixons Group
leaking it to the press) there is no way for us or any other reseller to
offer you this discount because HP themselves are not rolling out any
support for pricing on these items yet and nothing due for the near future.
I would recommend that you save your time and not bother to contact any more
IT stockists online as you will get the same response from them as you did
us.
Should HP announce an update regarding this and we be able to supply the
Touchpad at a price in line with your expectations then we will be in touch.

I like to think that I had it reserved unless anyone more worthy came forward. Given as you only have one post too I believe I might have reservation? I don't know, it is cameronlite choice at the end of the day so I shall let him descided
He was referring to regular members of the forum... Megoroarus has dibs if a regular member doesn't want it.
You might want to put that stipulation in your message cameronlite, because I suspect more people will sign up to try and claim the reservation if you don't.

I thought this initial sale here was the last of the remaining touchpads because websites who have sold their stock have removed the product all together. If there are more sitting somewhere I think it would be more difficult to find them online because you have no idea what retailer will get them.
We still have the HP Pre3 to be dumped... Wonder when that will happen.
EDIT: FFFFUUUU- just got 2 scam text messages since providing my mobile number to Argos for the reservation. Scumbags.
