Lights and shiny things in cases are cool when you're like, 18, max.
Absolutely loathe and despise them. I'd very much prefer to buy only components without RGBs built in, but as that's not really realistic I'm at least thankful that they can be turned off.
The sooner this trend dies a horrid, painful death the happier I'll be.
I like RGB but not in excess like an X-max tree
I dont have any rgb in my rig currently but if i did id probably sync it with music or use a single color depending what my mood is.
Nope, use a Lian Li X500 case so no component going in there is going to be seen anyway and makes it pretty pointless to have (I prefer my cases to be subtle). I don't mind back lighting on my keyboard and my mouse to have a single colour glow, purely because it's useful in the dark man-cave.
I've yet to see any real use for it, aside from linking to monitor temps visually. If the kids like it though, good luck to them.
Yes, I like a blue light on the front panel to show power on and a gree light to show disk activity.

It was fun for a few days but then I turned it off cause it's pointless. I'd rather have the option to not have RGB.
No, I don't. It's pointless e-peen. All my hardware is locked up in a solid box. No plexiglass, no tempered glass, none of that nonsense. Just a solid panel with noise dampening foam attached. All i care about from my hardware is performance, all those bling features do is push up the cost of my hardware.
Definitely not my cup of tea. Damn LEDs seem to be struck to everything...
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
No - and to add insult to injury, it's almost impossible to buy high end hardware without having the stupid "gaming" features such as useless chunks of arbitrarily angled plastic and of course RGB lighting.
I've taped off pretty much every indicator LED under my desk - if that's any indication of how I feel about case RGB lighting.
No, I don't !
I'm old(er) & I like to look at my monitor, not looking at my PC.
If I was younger, probably yes ! I would like RGB because it's all over the place, there is almost no escaping RGB from higher end products.
I remember when we had massive CRT monitors, cream keyboards & a Microsoft mouse with a ball in it. GPU's were a plain PCB with a small fan strapped to it. My case was made of steal & had the cooling factor of a soup can. The CPU die was the size of a placemat.
RGB had no place back then & it doesn't to me now.
I though I was the only owner of that case, mine stays on the default blue. I does goes with a cheap backlit blue keyboard (so I can see it in the dark) and an 'RGB desk' which is essentially an LED strip controlled with a blinkstick which just gives ambient light.
At my office I have an orange aerocool dead silence case with green lighting inside which is also matched with a cheap green backlit keyboard.
I have a corsair M65 in both cases which have both been set ones and left alone.
Looking at new parts I will not pay more for RGB, if its there I will probably pick a colour and leave it.
I like R, G, or B...but not at the same time. Most cases come with a light of sorts - mine has a nice blue ring around the power button. I also have a couple of blue lights by the fans, which give a soft glow underneath the case when the room light is off. I like that. This also matches the blue on my speaker power light, which is a nice touch. At this level, I'm fine with it. My keyboard is backlit with white, which makes the keys easier to see - somewhere that lighting serves a practical purpose. It'd even still look alright, and serve its purpose, if the light was a different colour.
However, I wouldn't be so inclined as to cover the case/interior in multi-coloured fairy lights. I think that looks awful. It's nice to have the option though, even if I would turn them all down and choose only one colour at a time.
Hell no!
I want my computer to look like a computer, not something out of the Fast and the Furious.
