Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

My last "cinema" film was Interstellar and to be fair that will take some topping 9/10

Last film i watched was "The Drop" .. a little slow but some great acting from Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini .. 6.5/10.

I have seen some comments on Predestination which i have also watched, I echo other comments that it was not what i was expecting at all but a good watch 7/10

2 GUNS starring Mark Walberg and Denzel Washington. Surprisingly enjoyable action comedy about stolen money, drug lords, betrayal etc, set in Mexico & California (I think). Very good chemistry between them two. Watched it on Amazon Prime.

One can never stop saying Thank You

Lucy - A great high-concept excuse for Luc Besson to tear up half a continent with car chases, gun fights and have Scarlett Johansson kick seven shades out of everything in sight. Just try to ignore the last five minutes.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Hmmm couple things I've watched recently.

The Maze Runner - GF choice and I was expecting some utter trash (Hunger Games / Divergant et al) but actually didn't mind the film overall, get the impression that the books might actually be quite enjoyable.

Sabotage - Schwarzenegger film I completely forgot was coming out and then I noticed it on Netflix the other day. Pretty brutal and overall enjoyable.

Resurrecting the Champ - 2007 film I'd never heard of but again saw it on Netflix last night. Really enjoyed it.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Sunday was a Channel 5 film fest. Richie Rich (meh. Mildly entertaining), Scooby Doo 2 (didn't get to watch much of it) and another one I can't remember.

Also watched Edge of Tomorrow, which was better than I thought it would be...

    Gone girl.
    Ben Affleck (Batman Really?????).
This was a seriously disturbing film that kept you changing your perceptions.
I won't give the plot away, but highly recommended.

And a Million ways to die in the west - Much better and funnier than expected.

Just been to see Theory of Everything - story of Stephen Hawking.
I was very very interesting to see that insight. Has prompted me to purchase the books.

I watched Let's Be Cops at the weekend. Occasionally funny and watchable on the whole but a bit dull. 6/10

Gone Girl - VERY GOOD, hard to talk about without spoiling the plot.

Guardians of the Galaxy - a good fun romp enjoyed by father and son

Watched John Wick last night. Best action film I've seen in a long time, Keanu being very very cool and kicking some serious ass.

AMERICAN SNIPER. Read the book last year, and saw the film today. The movie is excellent, and anyone who thinks it glorifies war clearly hasn't seen it. Definitely recommended.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

    Lucy.

Interesting film. Enjoyed it. I think I would have preferred it to go more down the route of sci-fi action than the philosophical meanderings later on, mainly because the path it took was rather jumbled and didn't hold together so well. Still, an entertaining way to spend 1.5 hours and will likely provide conversation material, which, I suspect, is the whole point.
