I can't get be down here
You'll be hard pressed to find an ISP that offers 'unlimited' broadband as they'll have FUPs/traffic management in place.
Go with one of the Entanet resellers, the 30GB Peak/300GB off peak some provide is very generous compared to other ISP's offerings. Speeds (latency) are also good too.

we have our office broadband with an enta reseller TitanADSL
Sorry for this noobish question but when you get the MAC code from your existing supplier do you have to cancel your account at the same time or is that done automatically? (I've never changed ISP before)
Usually if your calling for a MAC code, your supplier will know your wanting to leave. Just clarify it on the call with the advisor.

Erm, my virgin pings and speeds are fine at peak times. The problems tend to be area specific (contention) rather than network wide - I usually get sub 20ms pings on BF2142 to UK servers, Eve online works fine also (not really latency sensitive unless fighting) and torrent speeds are good.
You should also be aware that Virgin are going to introduce a download limit during certain periods of the day, so if you intend to do a lot of downloading I wouldn't recommend them.
Any source/linkage for the above info?
I think with Virgin it depends what product you get placed on (ADSL or cable). Im almost sure that with ADSL there are limitations during peak times - will try and find link.

To make sure our service is fair for everybody, we sometimes moderate the speeds during peak times (4pm till midnight) for customers who are downloading an unusually large amount at these times.
still unlimited, no caps on amount!, just 4pm to 12am, speed capped if your greedy like me
Oh well, Good ole telewest days are gone
Always Busy
Ahh I was talking about cable based VM not ADSL, I know about the traffic management in place at peak times. Seems fair though, as I said above just need to watch out for congested cable areas.
when you ask for your MAC code you supply that to your new ISP that will just allow you to migrate to your new service provider with a few minutes downtime if any.
My boss at work was on edge when we migrated to TitanADSL but by the time we got to work we had already been migrated. Although we were advised by Titan to change the adsl login details in the router befor we left the office the night befor.
I would highly reccomend TitanADSL brilliant Enta reseller.
Hope that helps.
