    Pipex Homecall

Had a good old moan to them about their fair usage policy last night as I was getting dial up speeds for the most part of this week while under fair usage..i don't consider this fair lol.

Apparently they are getting rid of the fair usage policy so it might be an idea to keep an eye on them as they are quite cheap.

I'd be surprised if they dropped the FUP, it doesn't make sense unless they want to differentiate themselves from the rest of the market but for the prices they charge they can't afford to...

Well they said there will still be traffic "shaping" so I guess that means no P2P during the day still etc.. but all i want is a decent surfing and direct download speed atm and i'm just not getting it.

Same here (Homecall, but still Pipex). During the afternoon and evening, slows down, drops, takes a minute or so to reconnect.
Always the same pattern. Last Sunday was bad as the rain kept people in, but tomorrow should be OK - unless there are lots watching Wembley on-line.
