Pipex are the biggest muppets in the UK

I have 2 pipex ADSL connections (1 on house, 1 in flat).

One is on a month to month contract and the other is on a years, after deciding to get rid of the flat and just have the house I started to ask about canceling my account ect.

So at the house I'm paying £25 a month for 1MB + calls from pipex and I wanted to change to their 8mb plan at £2 a month more, they said I would have to cancel this account and have the new one done, leaving me without ADSL for 2 weeks and incuring a new 12 month contract with them, , so I decided to move ISPS because their customer support is crap anyway, they said its not a issue as long as I see out this months contract before I put in to the new ISP (Eclipse) to start the move.

After holding on the phone to speak to customer support for 30 minutes + 3 times I get cut off and decide to try and talk to sales about the matter, after a while I managed to get them to request a MAC code for me to move my ADSL at the house to the new ISP, so I started talking about the unneeded connection in the flat I have and they told me it will cost me £58 + £150 to get out of the contract with them

So what choice do I have?

    1. migrate to Eclipse in the house and pay pipex £208 to cancel the ADSL at the flat
    2. Cancel the ADSL at the house, move the ADSL from the flat to the house and renew the pipex contract for 12 months for a 8 MB connection + calls
    3. Cancel the ADSL at the house, move the ADSL from the flat to the house and use pipex untill the contract has ended in march (5 months) then migrate

Can i ask why your going to eclipse? They dont have the best reputation at the moment. If your lines stable u may as well stick with pipex its the cheaper option

    Permanently confused

I've just gone from Eclipse to Pipex, and am so happy.

Eclipse constantly gave me speeds of 'dialup' era (~180kbps) and ever since migrating to Pipex (for free, after bitching to the Eclipse MD) I've had speeds of 6-8mb which my line is supposedly (now proved) capable of!
