    Still no success, when i tried to set up a static IP address following the instructions from that link all that i managed to do was prevent the wireless computer acessing router settings and the one connected directly to not be able to access the internet.

    Hey finally got onto the internet! I have no idea what in particular made it happen but i know i couldn't have done it without you, thankyou so so much!

    I started having similar problems with dropping connections on my network. Figured it was wireless issues as when I connected via CAT5 all was ok. Ditched wireless and went Ethernet over Power (devolo). Never looked back..
