if its listed as unlimited then as much as you want, but usually there is a fair usage policy.
Personally I leave any downloads overnight off peak hours, I really dislike any users leaving torrents 24/7 regardless of unlimited or not.
Bt's unlimited ='s 100gb a month then they cap you during peak hours to less than a meg 445kbps in my case.
A week later and im with adsl24 60gb during peak hours and 330gb during off peak and weekends.
What about Be Unlimited, anyone know how much is acceptable to download per day?
and Virgin?
they really should post up limits for these kinds of things, else one can just run onto Steam and go crazy, lol
Call up your isp and demand to know bt were more than happy to let me know and more than happy to say the average user uses less than 4gb a month and even heavy users get through 50~60gb a month and that I must have been mis using my connection.
Theres 5 of us in the damn hosue using it 20gb each in a month is easy tbh.
I've done 50gb in a day one time on Be* and no problems there.
Virgins are buried deep in the bowels of their website... No doubt some consumer law that says ya ISP has to supply the info, but doesnt have to tell you
http://www.virginmedia.com/help/traffic-management.php
^^ But, rumour has it their new policy for 2009 and the coming 50MB straw that will break the camels (that incently looks like Samuel L Jackson) back, is to make sure no one has a connection capable of hitting any usage limits!

Be Unlimited is truly unlimited with no "Fair Usage Policy" as most other ISP's hide behind. I am also with bethere and recently received a e-mail basically telling me their network is becoming busier but rather than adopting a "fair usage policy" they are investing and upgrading their network
Exactly what a "proper" ISP should do
As for downloads 200 - 300 GB a month will be fine ...... and the rest
"Be" has the correct attitude for an ISP. I just hope that others follow suit and that Be don't fall in line with the others.
I read something this week about another inquest/investigation into the use of the word "unlimited" on internet packages.
