I got junk mail about that, put it straight in the recycling. A wireless phone stand glued onto a router touted as the next big thing *boggles* I guess we aren't the target audience

Re: BT HomeHub - all its hyped up to be?

Pulled my hair out for months with the original Home Hub. For me the main issue was the ADSL modem performance, or lack of. Slow speeds and they could not handle marginal quality/long lines well, as soon as the signal/to noise margin got a bit low the connection would be lost, sometimes for days. There is a lot to be said for decent routers over freebie crap the ISP's chuck out to consumers - especially by BT. My mate Orange Livebox was a joke too.

I now have a BT branded 2wire (business router) with modified firmware. Absolutely SOLID. If you have long/poor quality line issues, this is a fantastic router. Good speeds when most router would not even connect. Even BT themselves coudl not get me a working connection after years of trying, eventually went with http://www.ruralinternet.co.uk/ who got me a good working connection and supplied me with the 2wire.
