Port Forwarding & Triggering - The Difference

    Hello,

In a bid to secure my network more. I have dug out the instruction manual for my netgear wireless router and going through some options. I came across the port forward/triggering part and realised i wan't quite sure at what the difference is, so can someone please enlighten me ?

I have my ftp server and xbox also connected to the router.
