I picked up the eVGA 8800GTS Superclocked for a little over £200 at Scan and its amazing!
If you look around aswell, at resolutions under ones for 22" monitors its actually faster than the 640mb aswell.
its the same card..
once there is a decent driver to allow shader overclocking your no better off with a superclocked over a stock one.
Blitzen is talking about the 320mb version.
lol.. my point was apart from the memory its the same card so with the same clocks they will perform the same and at higher resolutions the 640mb will be better.
I have no doubt that the 320 is a great card...i argued its case on quite a few threads and if I hadn't found the cheap 640 i never would have bought one.. or got one for a present
I think you'll be safe at that resolution..I think (hope) Crysis will be a bit like Vista...not the hardware monster everyone thought it would be.
Got the Leadtek running at a nice 600 core and 1000 memory, which incidentally also clocks the shader clock automatically...also got it at the original £226
Excellent value !!
nice..what temps do you get?
