What makes this so good over a stock intel cooler?

Heatpipe/fin arrangement, airflow inline with case outlet.
He's saying it's quieter than stock too, hence better.
i cant hear the thing.. although my main comp sounds like a vaccum cleaner as its soo old.
Can comment on its AMD counter part AC 64 pro, I have ran xp-120/Scythe Ninja/Tuniq Tower and the £11 AC 64 is on par with all of them on full load, best bang for buck
It's awesome for its price.... Simple.
It's dropped my processor by up to 10c over the stock cooler.
Its cheap. But at its price you get what you pay for - not so good build quality.
I have Arctic Cooling Freezers (7 & 64) on both AMD 64and C2D - I would not use anything else, they are cheap - espesially when compared to the overall hardware cost of a system, better at cooling than the stock coolers by a huge margin, and much quieter.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
I disagree - the build quality is fine, the fan is excellent and PWM - so controllable automatically, and you don't cut your fingers to shreds on the fins - unlike some others. Yes you can improve on the cooler contact plate finish if you must, but even this is as good as most - and an area that an enthusiast will happily do the work on if they want.

And it's much larger (and therefore cools better) than the stock cooler and so when I'm running WinXP with my E6300 my CPU fan doesn't even spin up!
It's alright, it's not exactly that flash. It's not in the same league as the big boys, but you get what you pay for.
Personally if i spend £100-300 on a CPU, im gonna buy the best heatsink i can.
Or would suggest that the airflow in your case doesn't take advantage of the way the AC works. Often the case with side panel vents rather than a rear exhaust.
