I did a small overclock when I read your guide before I got a stable OC of 2.8Ghz.
Today I did a bit more OC'ing. I have gradually been stepping up the FSB 25Mhz at a time. I have managed to get up to 375MHz but when I get to 400Mhz Windows fails to boot. The PC passes POST as the PC beeps. It restarts itself when it gets to the Windows boot up screen.
So I though I might need to apply a bit more VCore so I set it one notch higher to 1.3375V, before it was set to 1.3250V.
SO I have set the BIOS back to the settings that worked before (listed below).
What would you suggest me to do?
These are my current settings:
CPU Frequency: 375MHz
DRAM Frequency: DDR2-750MHz (this changes as I up the CPU Freq.)
PCI-Express Frequency: Auto
PCI Clock Sync Mode: 33.33Mhz
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
Memory Voltage: 1.9V
CPU VCore Voltage: 1.3250V
FSB Termination Voltage: Auto
NB Voltage: Auto
SB Vcore: Auto
ICH Voltage: Auto

What was the last 100% stable overclock? And what volts/settings etc?

I got a E4300 and P5N-E SLI, with OCZ Platinum XTC REV.2 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-15.
I have followed this guide and my
core speed is now 3000
with FSBRAM 1:1 and correct 4-4-4-15 timing set.
I did the Orthos test and it stopped @ 7 hour.
So I am not sure what I should do now. And the voltage is set on auto and in CPU-Z it is showing 1.44.
So is v1.44 save?
and also
idle temp: 30
Orthos running: 55
This temp is based on Core Temp.
have a read back a few pages in this thread, theres some info on overclocking the P5N its probably just some stuff needs disabling.
Temps look fine. Also try slightly higher mhz, you might just be at a point in the fsb range that isnt stable.
The P5N-E suffers really badly with vdroop, so you often need to set the voltage a bit higher than you might be comfortable with. Also set your RAM and northbridge voltages manually. Their usually too low when on AUTO.
humm whats a good northbridge voltage for my motherboard? Right now my ram voltage is set to 2.085.
