No idea, but I have tons of cable ties that might do the job if I decide on another cooling method, but it's fairly easy to reseat, done it before on the P4C800-E board that I got for the Prescott. But it does sit evenly on the NB, and stays very cool even with the crappy thermal pads that are used.

The Scythe Infinity cooler sits from about 1/3rds across the NB, near the upper edge of the board, covering the "Asus P5B-E Plus" markings and right over the mosfets on the back of the board. I have the vantec steath almost sitting on the first RAM module. It seems to work well, the top of the Scythe is cool to the touch anyway.

Yes, its still on the SB at the moment, was on the NB originally. Maybe it depends on the cpu heatsink?

What about the hr-05 SLI? that bends out of the way, and apart from the shape of the pipes, I think its pretty much the same.

Yeah I looked at that too, but on the TR website it doesnt even mention the P5B. I might just get a HR-05 and the SLI to be safe.. Unless some1 has a AC7 Pro and uses one of these HR-05 coolers? Will be gettin the TR 120 Extreme when it becomes available and thats gonna be another story as its huuuge

Im wondering if it means its not compatible because you need to fit a mosfet cooler as well? Thats all I can think of.

Great guide clunk managed to get my 6300 upto 3ghz stable now at 43 degrees idle. Wouldn't of been able to do it without this guide as this was my first overclock. Thanks again

Would increasing the northbridge voltage increase the stability when overclocking?

If your jacking up the fsb yep, but see how far you get on the stock voltage first on the northbridge till you start increasing it.

Oh and make sure you've got some cooling on it.

How do you monitor the northbridge temp?

I use everest and can't find the northbridge temp, I find an "Aux" temp but I don't know what that is.
