Exclamation Need Help On Motherboard Choice!!!!! PLZ HELP ME!

    Hey Everyone,

I'm building a new gaming rig and i haven't got much already but i have a pretty good idea on what im going to get except for the Mobo and them memory because i obviously want the two to be compatible....

I've been looking and making my mind up and then changing it again, These are a few I've seen and liked and want to know which one is the best for me to buy:

    1. BFG nForce 680i SLi (socket 775)
    2. Asus Striker Extreme nForce 680 (Socket 775)
    3. EVGA nForce 680i SLi Black Pearl WaterCooled Silent (Socket 775)

I plan to make the mobo water cooled in the future so the fact that it doesnt have Water cooling yet does not bother me at all.

I have an unlimited budget... It just means i buy other parts later and starve for the month

Here are all the other parts i am planning on buying:
    (* Have Bought Already)

    Case - Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 (*)
    CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600
    Graphics Card - 768MB EVGA 8800Ultra BlackPearl Water Cooled PCI-E(x16) ---- x2
    HDD - 150 Gb Western Digital WD1500AHFD Raptor X ---- x2
    PSU - 1000W Coolermaster Real Power Modular M1000 (*)
    Sound Card - Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty (*)
Monitor - 22" Samsung SM-226BW Black Widescreen LCD

And of course Mobo i need your help with and then the best memory to go with it really...

I would greatly appriciate the help any gives,
    Many Thanx!

if you're on an unlimited budget..dont get a 22" screen..especially with that graphics card. Get a nice 24" one or 27"

Nice case..but i dare say you could spend less and get a much better case..like a silverstone tj-09.

Motherboard wise..most will tell you not to get a 680i motherboard. Personally I think mines great but the p35 chipset boards do look quite good. I have the EVGA (non watercooled) btw.

True enough but P35 boards can't do SLI, which it looks he plans on doing. Can't help much on the mobo front much myself, but I'd agree about getting a larger monitor otherwise those Ultras would be a waste (maybe worth considering a pre-OC'd GTX instead, if you haven't already).

Unlimited budget? Get a multiplier unlocked CPU. Also might be worth waiting a short while to see how the X38 boards shape up, not to mention the 45nm chips. And agreed that the monitor seems underpowered compared to the rest. Given that you're already spending more than the GDP of some third world countries you might as well go to town...

You should either run two 24-27" monitors, or get rid of one of those Ultras.

And my my, don't you like giving money to Wendel

Dear lord I didn't see the x2 on the ultras..are you crazy!!? lol

I'd go with either the water cooled evga..if thats the way you're going anyway (water cooling) or the abit variant which is very good.

Yeah I would go for the water cooled evga (since it has custom cooling blocks) or the Abit in9-32x max Ive got both (air cooled evga) I personally prefer the abit it has more stable power to the cpu (less vdroop) than the evga did. Other than that do you want to give me some money

Well when i say Unlimited, I mean it loosely...
I only get paid about £1300 a month which pretty much all goes towards parts.

I have considered getting two 768MB BFG 8800GTX Extreme OC Water Cooled PCI-E(x16) instead of the two ultras...

I saw a nice 24" moniter so i might buy two of them for the cards...

I dont want to go over the top with processors and other stuff, the only thing im going all out on is graphics and the mobo hopefully...

I want to build a kick ass gaming system but i dont want to go without food for longer than planned, I need to have a bit of money left at the end of each month so i can live or the computer I've built isn't going to be much good to me!

Thanx for all the advice, Keep them coming!
