    Gaming Laptop Needed Quickly

Hello guys, im new here, and have been looking around at the various posts and topics on people after new laptops, and you seem to be very helpful. So i was wondering if you could help me with mine. I am after a new laptop, primarily for gaming purposes. Here is the basics i want in the laptop:

    • 2GB Memory
    • Core2Duo 2Ghz Processor
    • 100GB HDD - I could buy external HDD, but bigger the better

I am considering the Nvidia GeForce 8600M, as its DX10 compatible, but reading some reviews on here, i found you dont recommend this for decent gaming as much as other models. But i will leave that up to you to decide for me, as i want something that will play high endish games, maybe HMDI port, and dedicated graphics. I have got a price range of up to £1000 maximum, lower would be a real bonus, but im open to options. It needs to be quite soon, as i am selling mine as wel speek, so sooner the better!! Cheers
PS: i am going to uni, and prob will end up doing some Gaming orientated course, development wise, so it would be great if it could handle this too!!

You have a few choices here.

Dell vostro 1500 / inspiron 1520 crazy cheap at the moment (especially the vosto) but long delays (improving all the time though)

Rock Pegasus 670 - Expensive but amazing specs, good warranty as stardard.
    http://www.rockdirect.com/viewNotebo...ASUS%20670

    www.zepto.com
    www.rizeon.com

Not as well known but hell of a lot of bang for bucks.

    Re: Gaming Laptop Needed Quickly

    Yeah 2GB is fine.

They have brought out the 2.0ghz model now which falls inside your budget.

The dell is the best option for good brand at a good price. But you will have to wait until september to get your hands on it.

Prices are shown ex VAT and this one starts with 3 years warranty. If you take that down to 1 year it costs about £550inc which the true life screen. Its a very cheap laptop for what you get.

FYI vostro 1500 and Inspiron 1520 are the same laptop just a different colour.

Order on the phone and you will get a further discount

    Re: Gaming Laptop Needed Quickly

not really. I think there is a sony fz that will just about meet your budget but it has a very slow hard drive and an 8400gt not the 8600gt.

HP havn't brought anything out with the new graphics card i don't think and they would be expensive anyway.

Theres the asus G1 but thats about £1200.
