Looks like a gaming rig to me. I'd go for the E7200 and take the Antec Solo instead of your current case choice. For the hard-drive my favourite is the WD640AAKS. Another advice would be a quiet replacement fan for the Xigmatek heatsink, it can be quite noisy. For a couple of extra quid, a AC Accelero S1 rev2 will allow for better graphics card cooling. Strap a slow fan on it and you're on the save side with the new HD4850. You can also drop one notch in the power supply and go with a VX450 or similar.

IIRC his rig is going to be used for studio max, which will make use of the quad core...
and case choice is always going to be a bit of a grey area as it's all down to personal preference, as i would pay more and get a lian li or antec 300 if i was budgeting
VX450w doesn't provide much of a headroom for future upgrades, as he was talking of the possibility of SLi'd GFX cards

i would second the 640GB drive as it is a denser platter and is nice and quiet and fast

and the quieter fan could be something for the OP to look in to for the future

Ahh, ok, I didn't read the complete thread. I merely had a close look at the pictures.

    Some more comments then:
    * The Q9300 might be a better choice than the Q6600. It is overall slightly faster - despite the smaller cache - and easier to cool. The price is very similar.
    * For a potential cross-fire system the case is important. There is no way that you can evacuate more than 220W at full load easily from the tiny current choice. You might even have problems with only 110W of a single card. Dependent how noise-resistant you are, this might drive you insane as well.
    * My budget power-cooling case recommendation is the Sharkoon Rebel9 (w/o the side fan). Even better would be the Rebel12, where the PSU can be bottom mounted and there's plenty of space.
    * For case-fans: you can get Nexus fans with free postage from novatech (or was it Aria?).
