is the auto reboot still unchecked ?
what are the cpu and system temps ?
and +12v volt lines ?
are the extra power cables plugged correctly into the 8800gt and mobo ?
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
CPU looks a bit warm to me!!
Also ambient is high. My ambient is 30C!!
CPU is too high.
I have similar mobo and had a 3200 setup like yours at one stage.
What heat sink and fan are you using? I would reseat that first and check the thermal paste.
Also check case fans and ensure you have a good flow throughout (what case are you using?)

Finally got a photo of the error...
I took out my 8800GT OC2 the 2 days ago, as it produces alot of heat. There is currently a 6600 card in its place.
I believe this is the correct message, as I had to take the photo in haste and it didnt come out super clear...
Yes the restart button was not ticked...and yes it did restart anyway....
As explained above I ran the memtest86 and it didnt find any problems
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

Hmmm...could a loose sata cable to a HDD that I dont currently use cause BSOD's?
Found this wire to be loose (as it was kicking off the HDD in My Computer)..
Can you try running you system with the case open. Whats the temperature with the case open.
time for a spring clean i think, get some complress air and blow the crud out, you could be causing a small short due to dust
if you can't use your (reliable) old ram then you'll have to bite the bullet and get some branded decent ram. I've had problems with OCZ even with intel based systems but have found Corsair 100% dependable.
One test of reliability is to boot with a linux live cd - just google
Can't comment on any other brands, but it's always good to have (or know someone who has) a reliable list spare of components just for testing -> psu, ram, cheap motherboard with onboard video (intel/amd).
Hey mate,
You say you have a 450w PSU.
This is straight from the BFG spec for your card:
''425W PCI Express-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 28A or more''
You could be running it a bit fine with only 25W headroom.
With the temps:
Have you overclocked the CPU?
Are you still using the stock fan/heatsink?
As you are going to do a spring clean do some cable management to improve air flow and post up some pics of your rig so that people can get a better idea of your cooling.
Insure your case is not tucked away in your room either. They need a good source of ambient air so jamming it between other bedroom furniture is never advised.
1. Ambient is room temp, but as the OP says, it can't mean that here at 47C.
2. The Corsair is more than enough power for this system - BFG are just protecting themselves against cheap PSUs which won't produce what they claim.
3. The RAM seems fine, so can't understand why the prof is talking about that.
4. Dust could be a problem, but shorts don't cause BSODs.
To the OP: Unplug any kit you're not using, this is just good praxis. Clear out dust from any fans. Check the CPU HSF fits correctly (I'd clean and re-affix myself to be sure).
What case are you using?
