Anyway, managed to get into the BIOS and thought I'd try and reduce the timings and reduce the CPU multi and FSB and it booted. Have been gradually increasing them since.
Am now running at 12.5x177MHz and RAM at 7-3-3-3. It's Prime 95 stable and gets 12,307 in 3DMark2001. Not bad without an o/c'ed GPU...
