Best PSU with UK warranty ?

ARe you sure? cos i thought etailers only had to cover for year and after that its with the manufacturer directly.

i thought exactly the same thing...

but Saracen told me otherwise, with a megapost.

search for 'scan xfx problems' (it's the scan offer £25 pound one..) it starts when i say ' why are you all bashing SCAN, i thought it was the manufacturers problem after a year...'

the retailer can only recommend that you deal with the manufacturer, but if you are insistant, then you can do it through the etailer using your legal rights (tis often faster to do it through manufacturer... but when they are in a different country... it makes a bit of a postage hike...)

you do get the odd company like SCAN who deal with everything through themselves though... but i'm not sure what ebuyer are like in that regard.. plus the fact that alot of people think the 1 year thing is in place... you might just get bounced back and forth.....

If you need to RMA to OCZ they are in the Netherlands, just so you know.

ocz psu's are covered by a 3 year 'powerswap', so if it does develop a grumble send it back for a new one - and if i remember rightly they a base in the uk in milton keynes. when ocz's site decides it's gonna work i see if i can find the link.

I recently RMAed some memory to OCZ and had to send it to the Netherlands so I'm pretty sure thats where they are

Yeah last night I checked and thats the contact addresses I could see. No UK ones unless they like hiding it.

IMO id stick with it or go for another corsair (they dont usually die after a year). iv always found their customer support fantastic & i couldnt fault them at all when i was sent a new cable from them that was for the wrong PSU (was for their HX1000, instead of my HX520). Week later they had replaced my 2 HDDs, and my DVD drive free of charge with full apologies from both UK & US management! Ever since then i cant recommend them enough!

I think, OCZ did have a uk address for returning stuff but not anymore.

However even when they did rma times where long as they shipped replacements from the US.


As has been said, Enermax is best if you want UK returns
(actually anyone know if Seasonic have a UK address for sending stuff back?)

Corsair is fine if you buy through Scan they will sort the warranty for the whole 5 years

well the update says it looks like they are staying for now just downsizeing the uk side

The only PSU companies left with a UK base is currently Akasa, Hiper (across the road from Enermax, who actually originally started out in the UK) and Nanopoint who serves Tagan, Silverpower, Etasis and Seasonic.

So loooks like seasonic may be back on the list and we may be able to add tagan to it as well.

Well if it makes you feel any better according to the royal mail tracking service my memory is still waiting to get to Holland the fact that OCZ have received it and send me a replacement is by the by. I wonder if I could claim on the postal insurance

As cofirmed through Hexus, it appears that any Enermax PSU's bought via Scan - RMA's will be processed through them.

All RMA's for Enermax psu's purchased from SCAN COMPUTERS will now be processed under warranty via Scan directly.
