Q6600 Overclocking with NorthQ Siberian Tiger Liquid Cooling

I was wondering what kind of overclock I could get on a q6600 using the NorthQ Siberian Tiger Liquid Cooling.
I'm going to be using the Foxconn P43a motherboard with 2gb DDR2 1066mhz Corsair TwinX Dominator Ram.

Also wondering what kind of temperatures to expect and whether its worth the rather large price tag, as i dont plan on fully watercooling my system.

Are there any other better value coolers about?

Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme £35 - will need to buy a fan to go with it.

Scythe Ninja II - £30

Thermalright True Black 120 - £41 - will need to buy a fan

for the fans, i recommend this one. it's very quiet and moves a lot of air.

or this one if you want the red LED's

Wondering if there is a Sharkoon 1000 with Red Leds?

i'm pretty sure the sharkoons only come in the black and white.
i've got the sharkoons in my PC. and they're pretty damn quiet, even with 6 of them going.

I've got a Q6600 with a Scythe Ninja and it's damn quiet, I'll tell you that.

It's a pain in the arse to fit though, with those damn push pins.

Hmm it'll probably be the Thermalright True Black 120 with the NorthQ 120mm Red Leds, though i've also been looking at the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, the Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer Heatsink and finally the Noctua NH-U12P DX Intel Xeon CPU Cooler.

What do you guys think on these others? Any personal opinions on whats best etc?

The black performs no better than the non-black. You are paying for the epeen factor. I would just get a standard true

I just reviewed one of these this week. For a quad core, you want something a bit meatier, especially if you plan on overclocking.

For a dual core with a moderate overclock and a slight mod to the mounting system (using screws instead of pushpins), you can get slightly better temps than with air.

Any decent air cooler from Scythe, Tuniq or Thermalright for instance will usually give as good or better performance.

Ready made water cooling kits are none to clever.

I've got a blue LED sharkoon 1000 on my TRUE black - it's hawt.

I will second/third/fourth/whatever the Thermalright/Scythe recommendations they will all out perform that NorthQ piece of excrement. If water cooling is something you want to try the only "starter" kit worth looking at is the Swiftech Compact 220 and it will cost you ~£120 but will require assembly etc so its a bit more complex (but unless your a complete numpty perfectly doable with no prior knowledge). If you really want to water cool then I'm afraid you are going to have to double that to ~£250 for a decent complete custom system.

Back to Air coolers people have pretty much covered most of the bases I would say better to get a faster quiet fan and turn it down than get one which can not go faster than 1000rpm depending on the heat from the CPU you may need a fan which can move a bit more air.

Ok, i'll stick to air cooling, not because i dont want to water cool, but the price factor.

I'm thinking the thermalright TRUE black 120 and i saw somewhere that it'll take two 120mm fans I believe? Is this correct and are their any benefits of using two fans over one?
