generally I'd get a headset anyway, does mean turning off your speakers when you want to use it but it greatly reduced the issues of feedback loops.

When the system automatically turned it into a link, it left the last ) out of it, this should work though:

I too have a 5.1 system - and struggled for ages to get a decent mic - infact for quite a while I had a logitech headset round my neck - just to use the mic!!!
I switched to a sharkoon analogue mic that plugged into my soundcard via 3.5mm lead - used that for a year but it was total poo. Eventually the sharkoon failed (really thin cable) and I was faced with needing a replacement - well that was 3 months ago. I bought the mic you are talking about and its been excellent. I use it for 4/5 man skype while playing WoW and my buddies tell me I have never sounded so crystal - and no feedback from the speakers. Thoroughly recommend it!!
