Seems they've gone live on Scan now.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Most of the cheaper motherboards actually are using the H67 chipset if you check the Asus website.
It seems the cheapest P67 motherboards are around £90. However,it looks like Quick Sync may not work on P67 motherboards:

My bad, its only the boards for now:

£100 cheapest board? ouch i thought i would be cheaper.
maybe. i dunno. i guess its a decent price.
Why should the P67 motherboards be more expensive when the P55 motherbaords started at around the same price and the P67 motherboards even have less functionality left on the motherboard.
With unlocked multipliers, a locked down base clock and lower power consumption even when overclocked, the motherboards probably don't need OTT power regulation components when compared to the socket 1156 motherboards.
On top of this the P67 motherboards seem to be broken with regards to Quick Sync which means you cannot use the full functionality of a new £140+ CPU with a £90 to £100 motherboard.

On the other place some folks have orders shipping, 280 for 2600k, 180 for 2500k.
Think ill wait for the asus sabertooth board, after looking at the picture alone im sold don't need to read the specs lol. http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_I...Zk9&templete=2
Plus the P67 motherboards cannot even run one of the most interesting new features the new Intel processors have!!
Even using a GTX570 with CUDA is still slower:

On top of this going for an expensive P67 motherboard is not really needed IMHO as you overclock the Core i5 processors through changing the multiplier and not the base clock.
I imagine prices will normalise shortly.
Personally I've always judged motherboards by their features, buying a doubly expensive motherboard will not double your performance, infact it will be barely noticeable. With overclocking moved to the processor multiplier rather than fsb this is even more true... Though buying a board which is military grade will certainly give some people satisfaction in itself.
One of the interesting differences will be the EFI layouts, ease of use and potentially opening up overclocking to users who may not have been comfortable with dealing with the daunting bios layouts. I think i saw in motherboard review different used modes allowing hassle free overclocking from within a gui.
As with CAT, P67 has killed all interest in motherboards for me, and perhaps, even objectively as AFAIK most burden is now down to the CPu and not the board. In this sense, for me at least, the removal of 'O/C' is a let down.

With socket 1156 you could overclock an £80 Core i3 with a £60 to £70 motherboard.
I really hope AM3+ has better mini ITX and SFF motherboard support!!
