Things you've done with PC's in the past

When I first joined Hexus, I liked to experiment, even more than now, with my PC.

In one fatefull case, I asked David to publish my document on Streamlining your PSU cables.

It worked pretty damn well actually, using some rubber pipe, slit along its length, with all the PSU and Ribbon cables in it and then it gets taped up.

My airflow in the case was ,muchos better.

But the collest thing, that I reckon is worth trying again soon, was my CLING FILM EXPERIMENT

Take both sides off your case.

WRAP case in CLINGFILM ..get it airtight...

and then boot her up

does it BILLOW outward, or does it SUCK inward......

you then get a chance to fiddle with your fan settings and postioning for optimal airflow.

that cling film idea sounds interesting, whether or not i cba to do it is another thing entirely.

ive only got one removable side on my case so i prob would be able to get it to work well anyway.

Removed the cushions from the sofa and arm chair and lashed them to the outside of the PC with clothes line... silent PC for watching movies but you have to sit on the floor.

I once made my old PC into a robot. Mind you, the 'PC' was a Sinclair ZX80 and the robot just ran around on wheels banging into things. Cat liked it, though. Jeez, happy days...

I once had an idea to use a pair of tights as a fan filter but couldnt work out how to stretch them enough to cut out the material.

So I put one leg on and was about to draw myself a square when the missus appeared outta nowhere as they always do on occasions like them.

I bet the missuse face was a picture.

I've done the tight filter thing but I didn't wear them. As for other things, I'm boring really... the only adventurous thing I've probably done was sprayed a CO2 fire-extinguisher into my PC at a controller rate to see what we could get it down to for a laugh.

Other than that, I've not got the funds to wacky things like liquid NO2 cooling or the suppliers (yet)

I will not go into detail!!! But I have a fetish... I like to be tied up..... I found a artical on a web site that showed me how to induce shocks to my body with my pc and a custom app.... It was a very enlightning experiance!
