I'm going to donwload the standalone exe i think i try that. Surely there's more points not having to run it via Steam. Think of all the extra cycles, man.

Overclock my 3770K to 4.5ghz only added nearly 100 points to my score, I very much doubt that running the test without Steam loaded would make it significantly higher, I'd expect the results to be within the same sort of margin of variation that you get when running the same test two or three times in a row without making any changes.
I think the HD7970 Phage has was running at 1150MHZ NOT 1450MHZ. If it were the latter it would be a world record for an air cooler HD7970 I suspect!!

What are your voltage settings for 1250/1450?
Here ya go CAT, i ran the test with my 5870 and got 3323. Looks like, at least with the phenom, your overclocking does the job!

I also did a couple of runs at 1290/1450 but the scores were slightly lower?

It does look like an overclocked HD5850 1GB does match or exceed an HD5870 1GB running at stock clockspeeds!
7952 with 7850 CF 1250/1450 & 1050/1450 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/183652, 2nd card is newer and locked to 1050 max core
Just gave it my all, 4.8ghz 2500k, with a oc 1050/ 1250 on a HD 7850, and gained just 85 points lol, 4695. Upping my memory any more just got me a blank screen.
