    Good choice on the screen - using one here and its the perfect resolution to size ratio.

    New house - my own room \o/

    Anyway here's my setup in the UK... things you can't see in the pic are an octo core IBM x3650 server running RH, a matrox fibre xserver, another Lenovo T61p (why have 1 when you can have 2) and loads of other stuff i've forgotten to mention

    nice desk!

    also can you take the same picture again just with your switch card facing the other way up? I need the 3 digit security code.

    Thanks.

    If only it was American Express, they have the security code on the front!

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

    New monitor finally set-up (long story involving heavy-handed couriers & stupid reception staff) so changed around a bit.

    PS2, Dreamcast & HP LJ4 hidden behind the left speaker. TV is a fully-operational 20-year-old Trinitron I found in a skip. Amp is an Aurex SB-A10. Also, see if you can spot the dual-socket 486

    Under the desk is my Arch64 Linux machine, m0n0wall firewall, UPS for both machines & 24-port switch;

    IBM P275, original Saitek Eclipse & Kensginton Expert Mouse (why they put 'Mouse' in the name when it's a trackball is beyond me). MacBook lives in the corner (I generally only use it when I'm actually out-&-about, but every now & then it gets a turn on the P275 for Photoshop/Lightroom/etc.);

    I now have no fewer than 6x LCDs under my bed & 3x >20" CRTs in the cupboard along with 8x spare computers. I'm moving twice this summer too

    Unfortunately far too likely! I can literally only just life the 21" Diamondtron, it must weigh near 40kg & isn't a handy shape like a dumbbell bar! Doesn't help that both the flats I've got lined up have large numbers of stairs too!

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

    Next time your near a skip, see if they are tossing any TFT's out.

    I like the company my Dad works for, when their IT equipment is being disposed off, the employees get first pick of the gear on a first come first serve basis, I've got a COmpaq P4 base unit coming my way and have had several working TFT screen out of it now.

    Also got a garage full of CRT's lol !!

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

    My university doesn't tend to throw out working TFTs - they generally get reassigned to other departments or recycling schemes. The three that I have found in skips were all dead. I pulled one completely apart (down to the glass) to see how they work, the other two are sitting under the bed. Anyway, I have 4x working TFTs but now I've got the P275 it'll take a miracle to switch me back!
