    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

Two 24" is probably max what you can fit.. the desk lacks width for more unless you wanna go vertical-horizontal-vertical setup.

Finish on this desk is superb, no colour patches at all, nice shade of black.

Extra shelf was invented by me, it wasn't part of the desk
Its a combination of wall mounted shell and legs, check here for more info:

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60103632

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00054564

Legs come in different heights, depends on your needs [three different types iirc]
I really like the idea as you can have lots of free space under my screen(s)

Also, what I use and its really the most important thing in this setup - cable management tray:

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

Took me and my Dad almost all afternoon to build it, but finally here we have my dual monitor setup on my new desk.

It isn't a worktop like I was planning as to be honest for a flat pack job this is rather solid

4 months of planning, assembly and waiting on deliveries before completion, including the floor, desk and chair. This is my time-sink:

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Thanks. Most of flat's had an overhaul this year. It's nice to finally be able to enjoy it.

Since I decided to quit coding this year, I don't really need 3 screens, it's purely for convenience and pleasure. Usually it's Steam to my right, email to my left and Chrome in front of me, with other apps dotted around too. Mostly it's because I like being able to switch between single and twin screen and surround gaming.

Plus there was this Sigourney Weaver film I watched years ago, Copycat (1995), she had 3 screens, it all looked awesome and I've wanted a set-up like that ever since. It's just taken a long time.

Get yourself a copy of ultramon. Quite cheap and works well with three monitors, giving you individual wallpapers, taskbars and buttons to quickly direct windows to different screen. I've used it for a few years and it works well.

(I will point out that I dont work for them either lol)

Thanks, although I wouldn't go that far. Plenty out there to trump both of us.

Been a registered user since 2007. Since Windows 7 came out, I've found the Smart Taskbar feature more of a hindrance and only use UltraMon for wallpapers and window buttons these days
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

My desk is long enough, I guess I could if I dropped the tower to the floor, but it would literally hoover up the dust.
