Nah it's a bug when posts get deleted sometimes. Especially in long threads.

@DDY How many times has that shelf left you holding your head and swearing?

Dunno about the shelf, it was there when I moved in. Surprisingly the shelf has never met my head for the two years I've lived here, although my shoulder is scarred.

Personally I wouldn't have a shelf above hundreds of pounds worth of monitors if I, or someone I trust, didn't put it up.

When I first moved in here a month or so ago now, there was a shelf in my bedroom and I put a small lamp on it, to come home the next day to find the lamp smashed and the shelf now only supported by one of the legs. Was quite funny really, but that's cos the lamp was a "£100% off" at work and already damaged.

Yeah. I wanted a desk to fit the space I had but couldn't find one. A friend suggested a local furniture maker, I paid a bit too much for it really but its made of oak so it should last me a while.

Moved away from the LED ways and changed over to a Lian Li PC-V350 (it's an old case though) I'm so glad it all fitted fine!

Just finished decorating my room and setting my rig back up with its new monitors. Lots more desk space now over the previous setup.

In main rig, 11 [4 Raptor X'es 150 GB, 7 x 1.5TB] + 4 SSDs [4 x 30GB]
NAS got 5 mechanical [5 x 2TB]
Backup of NAS got 6 [6 x 1.5TB]

So its 22 mechanical and 4 SSDs.

£66 in Ikea, look under Fredrik/Gallant [kinda legendary desk by now ]

oo i see, having a looking now. What size monitors are on your desk at the minute?(helps me visualise it in my new room ).

How well has the finished coped? I know my current desk has lost most of its finish and looks like its really naff (patches of colour changes etc). I was looking at a glass desk but this does look quite nice. Cant see the extra shelf bit yours has, any chance you know what that piece is called?
