    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

New to Hexus, here's my current desk set-up. Still a few things to sort out. Cables (I've got the Ikea desk cable management rack), chair, under-desk drawers etc.

EDIT: new members need 5 posts to post links!

Managed to find a second S2309 (thanks Abaxas), (re)built my PC, added a pair of B&W 601S3, and cleared my desk. Oh, and rebuilt an old machine to be an ESXi host - so having some fun with that

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

My monitor arrived this morning. So rather pleased to present my workspace.

My girlfriend complained how high the picture viewpoint was so I took a second seated.

Not nearly as many papers scattered about as per normal. The next thing to be updated will hopefully be the keyboard.

edit: Apologies, did not realise how blurred the pics are I did not use a flash and it does not look like my hands where to steady there with the little handy snap. Could be the images were crunched down from 4000 by 3000.

I would recommend cleaning the table, looks a bit dusty and dirty, also a new mouse pad.

Can a mod edit Nimrod's post on the first page of this thread? Because the link in that post to the image host requests authentication when my browser attempts to load the image.

Strangely the desk is not dusty and I don't think dirty, its just been hammered I guess. I got it second hand from Freecycle, by the looks its mostly tea/coffee stains and cup marks. Its an old office desk that I think used to get polished and well no longer does haha.

I think when I move again I will give it a good sanding down and perhaps a new wood stain. Its stupidly heavy and I'm not looking forward to carrying it down the stairs again, even if it is only in a disassembled state.

50p mouse pad from Ikea I think I'll eventually get one of those desk things, Boogie Bug or some equivalent. The list of upgrades just grows everytime I look at my PC, as I am sure everyone always thinks of adding/improving things on theirs. My list: Keyboard, HDD, CPU Cooler, second monitor, third monitor and another 8GB RAM. The Corsair 650D keeps making me want to buy it everytime I see one in a review or someone posting a pic of a build in one.

Oh and with those extra monitors, a new desk

Yeah, mug stains for sure needs to be cleaned if they can! A good standing down and stain would make it look good again. I feel for you on how heavy that desk is, my brother has one like it and it weights a ton.

My upgrade list is always being added as well, currently I really want a new mousebat, one of them Razer glass types, but it's hard to justify £40-50 on a mat right now when there are other stuff demanding money first. :/

Here is my desk after getting my new case and monitor today. Just need some new speakers now. Stupid tiny picture, SkyDrive automatically resizing when I upload it.

    Re: Show Us Your Workspace/Desk

Moved house & bought a new desk (Ikea Galant) to make the most of having a big bedroom for once! In hindsight I should've gone for the 'A' legs instead of the 'T' legs - the desk is a bit wobbly as it is, with all the weight at the back & me typing/leaning at the front it seems to create a bit of a pivot about the central legs...

The U2410 & the monitor stand are also new Oh & the DAC

    Some pictures of the building & cable-management if anybody is interested;
